Description/Job Summary

Overview of position:

1. Use knowledge of accounting principles to maintain the financial records of the Bookstore.
2. Compile and analyze financial information for use by the Supervisor or the Senior Accountant.
3.  Establish, modify, document and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
4. May devise and implement manual or computer based system for general accounting.
5. Create invoices in POS from vendor invoices
6. Create credit memos in the POS.
7. Assist the manager in performing other POS transactions.
 

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or Computer Science.
  • Two years of related work experience required.  Additional education may be substituted for the experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business accredited college is preferred.
  • Additional education may be substituted for experience.
