Description/Job Summary

Overview of position: Summary of position’s responsibilities

Conduct classroom sessions as scheduled.
Provide each student with a copy of the course description and syllabus.
Prepare and deliver lectures consistent required course resources.
Monitor attendance consistent with College requirements.
Report student performance, academic and social, using the Performance Accountability and Intervention System (PAIS).
Follow-up with students as needed to encourage success.
Assess student performance and report grades on-time via the faculty portal for grade reporting.
Solicit speakers to enhance the learning experience (as necessary)
Encourage the student to get engaged at the college by participating in various other activities
Knowledge of Student Learning Outcome Assessments (SLOA).

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor degree required from an accredited higher education institution 
  • Experience facilitating workshops prior to teaching 
  • Candidates must have experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS); i.e. Blackboard, Canvas 
  • Ability to create lessons plans 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the diverse student population 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peer faculty, managers and/or administrators
