Description/Job Summary

The Math Tutor will provide individual and small group tutoring to participants in the math content areas that will be studied and tested for preparation of G.E.D. testing.  The tutor will incorporate study skills, provide resources, and design activities that will enhance the academic skills of participants in the area of math content. 
  • Develop tutoring schedule including times and locations that will be beneficial to participants;
  • Provide individual or small group tutoring to participants;
  • Incorporate study skills development into tutorial sessions;
  • Provide practice worksheets, assignments, and tutoring guidance related to the topics being taught in a participant’s class;  
  • Assist in designing activities that will enhance the academic skills of participants

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • 5 years experience teaching Math classes (adult education or high school)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Teacher's certification preferred in Math
