Founded in 1947, Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) is comprehensive, urban institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Description/Job Summary

Provide administrative support to the Facilities Dept. Track and monitor purchases. Entering requisitions into Banner.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Organize and track Facilities information, data, time and resources
  • Provide quality customer service, information and assistance to employees, students and visitors
  • Manages reception area and conference rooms
  • Maintains office equipment and common area supplies
  • Enter requisitions in Banner.
  • Track and monitor all requisitions.
  • Composes letters and memos for review and approval
  • Greet visitors, answer phones, and responds to inquiries.
  • Assumes ownership of service issues and works within scope of authority and appropriate guidelines and resources to meet
  • needs and resolve problems.
  • Works to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, customers and students
  • Prepare agendas and take minutes for meetings
  • Seek out customer input to better understand their needs and develops ideas for how to meet those needs.
  • Promptly responds to request and inquiries with accuracy and courtesy.
  • Works to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, customers and students.
  • Plan events and activities in advance to ensure that all assignments are completed in a timely and quality manner
  • Contact vendors for quotes and assist the facilities department with tracking inquiries and requests.
  • Other duties as assign.

Required Qualifications

  • AA Degree in a related field
  • At least 5 years work experience in a Facilities Department
  • At least 5 years working in a high pace and high demand department/organization.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
